| i really don't know what to write about. i'll discuss this upcoming
weekend, for kicks, surely. friday is payday, that's nice. saturday,
i'm hoping to make a large purchase. sunday, i will do nothing. monday,
which appears to be mlk day, i will do nothing. or enjoy my large
purchase. maybe i'll go to an indian buffet. i'd like to see if i can
walk from 103rd and western to madison and western. that's 103 blocks.
i'd be sore the next day, probably. there are also some bad
neighborhoods i'd have to go through. still, i need to break in my new
shoes. i'll attempt this on sunday, because gang bangers will go to
church. and watch the bears. if they're on.

| i haven't updated in a month. hmm, i dropped the ball. You're all
probably asking yourself what i've been up to and what i've been buying
on ebay. well, i've been doing very little work on my college
applications and have rediscovered pop-punk. i don't like the way i'm
writing this, it doesn't seem natural. but i'll give one of those top
ten lists i used to do or top 5 or whatever.
1. winters almost here. sledding, hot cocoa, ice skating, and a constant feeling of happiness and joy.
2. both jens lekman LP's bought in one day.
3. clark's desert boots and wallabee boots.
4. december is about 5 days away. that's really nice. i love december and january.
5. the next three weeks of my life being ruined by economics, philosophy, and UIC.

| so my sister bought this "punk rock" vegan cookbook. I'm not into
cooking, or punk rock for that matter but the concept of the book is
for bands who played at this one club in Ireland to contribute at least
one vegan recipe. I browsed through it and noticed that Heavenly played
at the club and Amelia sent in a recipe for vegan fruitcakes. And Blake
Schwarzenbach sent in a recipe for guacamole. I feel obligated to make
both of these. I've decided reckless records is the hot topic of record
stores. i'm sick of seing bearded, western shirt wearing, 20 somethings
buying records in a whimsical non-compulsive way. what the fuck is your
problem? i don't want to overhear you and some record clerk discussing
the latest indie-rock release. why do all indie-rock singers have to
have some strange southern accent thing going on? why do they all have
to suck? oh, those last few sentences don't really flow.

| Who's up for badmitton, coffee, and tomato soup in thermos'/grilled cheese sandwhiches next sunday? maybe?
1. Possibility of me winning a mint tiger trap LP.
2. Original Penguin sweaters.
3. Levi's Slim Straight Cords and Levi's Slim Flares.
4. Heavenly- I fell in love last night 7". $12.50 deal of the week.
5. Bush's Boston Beans and Bush's Maple Cured Beans.
Extra: My Zen and the Art of the Motorcycle paper is terrible. it is disgusting. Extra Extra: I wrote an essay about amelia fletcher's influence on my life, for a scholarship. Needless to say, I will not win. | | |
| i need halloween ideas. maybe i'll go as clyde, you know, from

3. Field Mice- Sensitive 7"
4. 14 Iced Bears- Mother Sleep
5. Bhundu Boys- Shabini.
6. Cocteau Twins- Pink Opaque
